O2 Recycle is our way to trade in your unused phones, tablets and other gadgets for cash or credit to spend on the things you love. We run the service in partnership with leading expert Likewize. O2 Recycle has already saved more than 4 million devices from becoming e-waste, while helping people make a few quid and clear out their used tech. Win-win-win.

Can I trade in damaged devices?

Absolutely. We accept devices with cracks, scratches and even major faults – though of course these will affect their trade-in value. We do our best to refurbish them and give them a second or third life. If a device really can’t be reused, we’ll still make sure every valuable material is extracted and repurposed – never wasted.

What happens when I sell my device to O2 Recycle?

Accepted Answer

We start by wiping all your personal data, so you can rest easy knowing everything’s secure. After that, we give devices a second and third chance by reselling them ourselves as Like New or through our partner, Likewize. If a device really can’t be reused, we send it to our partner Relove Technology, who make sure every valuable material is extracted and repurposed – never wasted.

What if I get the model or condition wrong?

Once we get your device, we’ll check everything over. If the model or condition changes the value, we’ll email you a new offer. Not happy with it? No problem. Let us know and we’ll send your device back for free.

How long is my quote valid for?

Accepted Answer

Your quote’s locked in for 7 days. That’s plenty of time to reach us, but if it arrives after that, no worries. We’ll update your offer based on the latest prices.

Which iPhones can I sell with O2 Recycle?

Accepted Answer

We accept most iPhones – including Plus, Pro and Pro Max variants going as far back as iPhone 7.

Which Samsung and Google devices can I sell with O2 Recycle?

Accepted Answer

We accept Samsung Galaxy S series devices as far back as the S8, and A series devices as far back as the A8 – including Flip and Fold variants. We also accept Google Pixel and Pixel Fold devices as far back as the Pixel 3.

How do I send in my device?

Accepted Answer

Option 1: Use your own packaging, show the QR code at your local Post Office and they’ll do the rest. Or if you’d prefer, print out the free postage label in your confirmation email. Option 2: Need packaging? Simply request a free kit and we’ll send it your way. Our free postage label includes insurance cover up to £150. Got a high-value device? You might want to upgrade your shipping with Royal Mail or another courier. Option 3: Pop into your local O2 store to get your recycling quote, and one of our friendly team members will make sure it gets back to us. However you send in your device, make sure your quote reference is clearly visible so we can process it – and your payment – quickly.

How should I prep my device to send in?

Accepted Answer

For laptops and consoles, we’ll need any essentials like controllers, docking stations and power cables. Anything else you can trade in without chargers or accessories. If you choose to send them anyway, we’ll recycle them responsibly.

How will I know when my device arrives?

Accepted Answer

We’ll drop you an email as soon as it arrives, or you can track it yourself with the Royal Mail tracking number on your proof of postage. To check your order status anytime, just log in to your O2 Recycle account and select ‘Track my order’.

My packaging hasn’t arrived – what should I do?

Accepted Answer

No worries – our Support team’s on hand to help. Just visit o2recycle.co.uk/contact-us to chat with us online. Have your order number ready and we’ll sort it fast.

My payment hasn’t arrived in 3–5 working days – what should I do?

Accepted Answer

Check your emails first – we’ll usually send you an update. If there’s nothing yet, reach out to us at o2recycle.co.uk/contact-us and we’ll look into it.
